'Welcoming Back' outing?

Ok, I know the title for this blog is a little weird as there's no such term, but it's more or less something like that. Alright, I define outing in Kuching as below:

Meet--->Talk--->Go for movie(maybe two)--->Eat--->Loiter--->Bon Voyage(Home I mean)

Yup yup, that's my way for outing actually. If i'm able to drive(another 7 months I guess), I guess i'll be loitering the whole of Kuching instead of just the city centre. Alright now, I called for this outing cos' of 2 reasons. First, I'm suppose to give my friend a treat at pizza hut because her birthday is coming up but I found out that I got transportation problem for the forthcoming weeks as both my parents are off to Thailand, and second, to welcome back my friend who went for Youth Exchange to Taiwan. So, to avoid breaking my promise, I invited her to the outing as well to solve all the problem.

During the holidays, I'm the nightowl in the family, on the 19th I actually slept at 4a.m. and my friend came to 'tumpang' my house at 9.30am. Man I was really lack of sleep that day(I thought of throwing him outside my house and continue dreaming XD). After taking a quick lunch, we're off to Star Cineplex and sitted there for about, 1 hour? We bought the tickets for National Treasurer 2 and sitted there like 2 idiots never seen a ciniplex before >.<" Part of it was my fault because like I said, I have transportation difficulties. Later then, my friend who I invited came with her sister and lastly my friend who just came back from Taiwan(he actually refused to go as he broke his glasses and got to wear his primary nerdy glasses!) Soon after that, we bought popcorns and entered the hall. The movie was splendid and I enjoyed most of it, except the part where I was annoyed by little kids in front AND the back of me. But overall, it's great!

Later after that, we took a stroll along riverside and landed at Sarawak Plaza. There, we splitted our group. The boys go for hartz(a buffet style restaurant) and the girls go to KFC. I'm suppose to cover up her expenses that day but she rejected. *Sigh* I need to find another time to pay up for my promises XD So, those 2 after eating they departed home while we took our bloody time eating in hartz. We have a long chit-chat while eating. Well, the chat was normally about my friend's trip to Taiwan. It is and was a complete contrast between Malaysia and Taiwan. There, their mentality are more advanced and open-minded but here....you-know-what. All I can say is 1 word, conservative! We chatted for about 2 and a half hours inside hartz, I bet the staff there would've cursed us for staying that long >.<" We loitered Sarawak Plaza and finally took off to my friend's house to see photos that he took in Taiwan. We took a long look at the photos taken and we were literaly brainwashed by those em'. Geez~ How I wish i'm a Taiwanian~!

It was getting late so I called for my transport, sent my other friend home(the one who ruined my sleep that morning =.=") and took supper.

So that's about it for that day. Nothing interesting though, but it's worth blogging cos' it's a special day!

That's all folks, more to come soon!

Reunion Party

Well guys, it's been awhile since I blogged in. I was and currently is busy with my online games, well ya'll know, holidays is like seventh heaven for me. Gaming spree~I was obssessed with maple and dota till I neglected my job as a blogger...Argh let's cut the craps shall we? *winks*

Okay, we had our reunion party erm, I think 3 weeks ago at Ing Thian's house. He's kind enough to host this party as his house compound is large enough to accomodate around 20-30 people. To start off, it's quite a hazy day and torrential downpour in the afternoon. But thank god, it stopped just before our party started. It's a potluck party where everyone has to bring their own food. And well, for me, as always, bringing drinks is my forte. Almost, and I mean ALMOST all the potluck parties I attended, i'm sure to be the one bring soft drinks, so for whoever is having a potluck party, feel free to invite me as you can see, drinks will not be scarce with me around >.<.

Alright, to the main event. I started departing from my house at 6pm, and once I reached his house, I was welcomed by his so called 'hostile dogs' XD Nah, his dogs just aren't smart enough to distinguish me eventhough I stepped into his house many times. But can't blame them either, they're dogs after rite? I was the 2nd one to arrive after Yew Ding. Settled down in his living room and watched some series. Soon after that, the crowd became more and his house changed from quiet(except the dogs barking >.<) to a racus with all the noises. It was a rare sight I can say as it was the only time I can meet old friends, with their dramatic changes, be it physical or mental, and tchyea, positive changes of cos. I was shocked to see one of my friend, from a cute and chubby little girl actually 'transformed' into a maiden(metaphor). She grew much taller and much prettier along the years and that very day, I managed to see it with my own eyes, completely held spellbound at that very moment, a complete 180 degree change I could say.

Photo with Yi San (the one i'm saying about)

Alright, now....foooodddd, glorious food. But erm, I apologise as I did not took any photo about the foods, but all I can say is they are scrumptious and mouth-watering.
There's salad, hotdogs, nuggets, ice-creams and etc..(Argh I should not have talked about foods, now I'm starving >.<) We started digging in around 7.30pm, and it started raining again, or more to continual drizzle along the week, it's nothing actually, but it's cooling since it's open air. After filling up our tanks, we gathered and started talking like nobody's business. Some took my school's mag to have a peep on our ex-classmates who weren't able to attend that party, some talking about their life in their school, and last but not least, horror stories >.<" It was almost time to disperse at that time as most transports started coming 1 by 1. Before we bid farewell, we took one last group photo of that memorable night.

Group photo of all my ex-classmates(kinda blurr tho)

It was 10pm then where majority of them left. As always, I'm the last one to reach home although my house only takes 6 minutes drive back and fro. Sheesh~ But anyways, that day carved a marked and will forever be vivid in my mind. I truely appreciated every single bit of that moment with my old classmates...how I wish next year we could organize such party again. *sigh* Oh well, every sweet moment will have to pass eventually......

That's about all of it!

Merry Christmas to everyone!

My new sound system!

Hey guys. My area here was flooded by the PC Fair organized by the Sarawak KCBA. The date of this ‘auspicious’ event (just joking) is from Friday till Sunday. I weren’t able to go on Friday as I’m having my additional mathematics tuition, so I ended up going on the Saturday, which is on the 1st December. Nice date too huh? It was 12.30pm when I reached there with my mum. It was after our Leo activity then (FYI, visit Soon Ho’s blog for further information about this activity at http://jackiechua.blogspot.com/). Well, as always the parking lot is packed with cars, jammed all the way up the Medan Pelita.

When I entered first entered the event hall, the first thing that came to my mind was “What the hell! So darn Cold!) It was raining cats and dogs that time, and thus making the jam even worse, chain reaction! Haha! Kuching has been ‘suffering’ from torrential, continual rain since Friday, non-stop downpour through the day. At least now when I’m typing this blog the rain had already stopped. But there’s no doubt it’s gonna rain again sooner or later. It was freezing when I entered the entrance. It was damn crowded with people, all you could see was only the visitors attire and nothing else, we even have to squeeze through the pathways in order to proceed to the next booth, so guys you could imagine how packed is it in there. It’s lucky too actually because it’s not during the drought session. If so, I think I’ll melt in there >.<”

There are a wide variety of computer stuffs in that fair. Accessories, brand new laptops, electronic devices and gadgets, just mention the name and you’ll have it (but of cos’ you have to pay). Something caught my attention so much that I could not even step out of that booth, or should I say held spellbound to see a brand new HP tablet pc.It’s screen can rotate 360 degrees, with complete and full specs. 160GB of hard disk, 1GB RAM etc. Man, my hand itched to have that within my grasp, but, oh well, dream on~

We stood at the booth examining the specs, features and even tried out the tablet PC. It’s like a PDA, just that it is in a larger size when the screen is placed flat, face out from the keyboard. And there’s a digital pencil for you to browse the screen, which is like a touch screen PC. And the price, heh, RM2999! Cheaper than Sony VAIO laptop and other brands. But but but, guess what, my sister’s friend BOUGHT that laptop instead of me. Owh Man! No fair! Haha! I actually spent 15 minutes in that booth and finally I made my move to other booths. We walked the whole event hall with our hands and held tight, squeeze through the crowds, and finally we made our way to the booth where woofers, external speakers and sound system are sold. Well, my main goal stepping in to this PC Fair is to buy a sound system for my laptop, which has a very VERY poor sound effect. We surveyed a few woofers and picked a nice, reasonable and user-friendly sound system. After that, we headed home and waited for my sister to come pick me from her interview to ‘officially’ buy the sounds. Now you’ll be asking why not buy on the spot instead of going for a second trip? The answer to that question is ‘Please ask my mother’ Haha!

Alright, now the second trip, it was about 8pm then, my sister and his friend drove to a nearby bank and withdrew thousands of cash, I guess you all know what he’s gonna buy right? Yeap, the tablet PC! Then, we headed down again to Medan Pelita, got ourselves a parking lot, disembarked and ventured to the crowded venue. There, I met quite many of my friends unlike in the afternoon. After walking a few rounds, the three of us went to buy my woofer 1st, which cost Rm157 with a 1 year warranty and a free headphone.

My new woofer and sound system. The devices on top are my modem and wireless adapter.

Then, we proceeded to the booth where the tablet pc was sold. We took a around half hour there just for the sake of waiting for the programmed to be installed. Sheesh~ My sister’s friend get to sit down whilst me and my sister have to stand at one side. Man, they’re really hostile to non-buyers of their product huh? It was around 9.45 at that time then the programmed were successfully installed and we exited the hall as it was about to close. Ok, you may think we headed back home and enjoyed our day. NO! That was only the beginning, or maybe half. Leaving the venue is another obstacle. It was closing time and all the workers and visitors were about to leave. Now you see, one car going down the car park to pay for the parking fee is fine, but what if there’s a whole 140 cars lining up just to pay the parking fee? We were stuck at the parking lot for at least 1 hour, cutting in lines, taking no-entry routes and of cos, honking one another! I guess that’s the only time where you can violate the law without being caught or blacklisted by the police! Oh yeah! It was almost 11 when we finally able to reach home. I fixed the woofer and tested out the sounds! Whoa, a complete difference in the songs played through my laptop. It’s worth it though.

So that’s about it guys. Until next time, tata~
