Leo Forum 2008 Issue 1

Alright, for this post i will divide into 2 parts because I have problem with the photos, all of em' got separated, some with my teacher and some with my friends. Takes time to gather them all together. This post mainly are words and part and parcel of the events while the other post will be of photos and captions.

Anyways, i'll blog about the forum and the journey back first, i'll go into detail in the 2nd part. Ok, so you see, every year we have this Leo forum which burns at least RM1000 per trip (imagine buring RM1000 in front of you =.=) This is my 3rd time attending such a Forum, and I can only say this "It sucked to the core", or maybe some minor improvements such as the transportation. LoL~

Lets start from the Fellowship Night. The theme is Jeans, Hats and Sunglasses Night. (The Leos looked like a bunch of idiots walking at that night with their sunglasses on) Geez, sunglasses, at night? Are the Sabah Leo committee members insane? Haha! The PA sucks, can't even hear a word of what the MC was talking. The only thing I remembered was the MC sitting on the stage entertain us with HANDPHONE MUSIC(this shows that the programme sucked too XD) while waiting for the judge to finalize the cat walk performance by Leos.

This girl here is our Incoming President, presenting her fashion show. I think she's the only one who does the show with the microphone. Very brave and nice show but sadly she didn't get it =( The night went on with Leos walking around doing nothing, most of them ended up buying and promoting their badges. Our badge, designed by Bryan sold like hot pancakes, just the first night of the forum, 45 pieces all sold out in an instant. Hmmm.... I'm still wondering how the Leos returned to their rooms with the black sunglasses, haha!

The highlight of the forum is of course, the Banquet Night. The theme of that night is "Bow and Ribbon" but the number of Leos who wore bows very few. The boys from my school wore ALL BLACK. Some with overcoats, some with black formal shirts and black pants, like mafias. LoL!

We really look like mafias who goes around being bouncers. Haha! When we marched down the stairs, all the people stared at us like Agong(s). We entered the Royal Hall (which doesn't look that ROYAL to me), found our seats and started taking pictures like mad men and women. The girls from my school put on their best that night, very beautiful and sexy too (Elyssa, don't come and kill me if you happened to visit my blog, I still value my life >.<). Guess what, our club got the highest award, the Excellence Club Award. Although it is the same award that i got for my club last fiscal year, but this years' Excellence Club award is the highest. Well done guys!

That very moment when our club was announced receiving the Excellence Club Award, all of shouted and cheered. Our hardwork and determination for the whole fiscal year has paid off, and we finally reached our goal, that is to get the highest award. Roar Roar Roar!

It has been a tradition for years to have footloose after the banquet. But sadly to say, all the songs are the rock ones, mostly not my cup of tea. So, I took photos with Leos and my foster sister Elaine from Sabah to kill time, and partly for remembrance also lar, we can only meet once in a year le >.<

Her character and voice didn't change a bit, like the Elaine that I met 3 years ago, of course prettier la, haha! The banquet night continued until 2am, with all the 'siaokias' dancing their heads off. LoL! We took a stroll along the beach past midnight enjoying the breeze, and called it a day. The following day, which is the last day of the forum is a day that I will always remember vividly in my head. I just don't know what drove me to complain and gave comments, but it actually came out off my mouth =.= I complained about the unhygienic food and the poor programme for participants. Soon after that, we took the last group photo in the forum venue and headed back to Kota Kinabalu City.

That last picture is the end of the forum, we packed and boarded the T.U.T bus (Should be the company name?) I was a little down because I wasn't able to see her for the last time before she left, but well...I managed to cope it~
